Heart Problems From Trastuzumab (Herceptin®) Do Not Increase in the Short Term (Posted: 06/25/2007) - Women with breast cancer who take the drug trastuzumab (Herceptin®) are at risk of heart problems during treatment. Now a study has shown that the incidence of such problems does not increase in the short term, though the long-term effects remain unknown, according to findings presented at the 2007 ASCO meeting in Chicago.
